Brisbane City Council’s BrisAsia Festival 2016 is set to finish with a bang with the colourful Cosmic Closing Event in Post Office Square in the city.
Brisbane’s own string rock sensation, Deep Blue Orchestra will kick off the evening, along with the catchy ukulele tunes of Bosko and Honey and end with a Khmer rock-n-roll spectacle from headliners the Cambodian Space Project.
Attendees will get to create their own masks or cut-out characters under the guidance of Indonesian artist Entang Wiharso, as well as chow down on delicious street food (for purchase) and dance the night away.
According to Lord Mayor Graham Quirk, the night will be a fitting close to BrisAsia Festival 2016’s program, a free initiative of the Brisbane City Council that is now in its 4th year.
